Social Capital

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” - Pericles
It’s all in the name. The objective of Building Capital Partners is to maximise our impact through building capital aligned with our interests in business, people, and strategy. This impact, in turn, builds social capital.
A good example of maximising impact is our coaching fees for individuals. All of the fees are paid directly to one of two underlying charities. This means an hour of coaching results in a benefit for the coachee, a benefit for the charity, and a tax saving. The tax saving is via a Section 18A deduction and is for the benefit of the coachee. It is equal to their marginal tax rate times their coaching bill.
Partnership
We know that we are because of others and that we go further together. Therefore, building partnerships is a key part of building social capital. We want to build relationships where neither party wants to let the other down.
Our philosophy of partnership extends across all we do — whether partnering with entrepreneurs to grow their businesses or individuals to build their potential.

“Partnership is not a legal contract between two equal individuals. It’s an emotional alliance between two people who are committed to each other’s success.”
- Warren Buffet
